Marike Jager never aspired to become an artist. Perhaps that is exactly what made her one of the Netherlands’ most beloved and distinctive singer-songwriters.

She finds joy in creating stop-motion films, drinking lukewarm coffee in the sun, listening to vinyl records, reading children’s books, and running along the river to clear her head.
